Contributions from alumni and friends are essential for the Odum School's excellence in research, teaching and service. Private financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations provides the margin of excellence that helps distinguish great universities from good ones. Direct state support accounts for only about one third of UGA's annual operating budget. Private gifts focus on critical areas such as scholarships, endowed professorships, graduate fellowships, international study for students and faculty, research facilities and the campus master plan.
Please consider making a gift online or mailing a check to: UGA Gift Accounting Office, 394 South Milledge Avenue, Suite 100, Athens GA 30602. Below are some examples of recently established funds at the Odum School of Ecology:
The Ecology Fund supports initiatives of the Dean, faculty and students of the Eugene P. Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia.
The Richardson-Golley Fund supports undergraduate study in Ecology at the University of Georgia.
The Frank Golley Memorial Fund supports graduate study in Ecology at the University of Georgia.
