Parsons, MS CESD ’00, blogs about salamanders for National Geographic

A post by Doug Parsons, MS CESD ’00, was featured on the National Geographic Voices blog on Jan. 23. In “Salamanders Are Pretty Awesome…But They May Be in Big Trouble,” Parsons describes a threat to salamanders from a fungus originating in Asia that has recently been found in Europe. He urges proactive steps to lessen the risk of its appearance in North America, a hotspot of salamander biodiversity. Parsons is the North America Policy Director for the Society for Conservation Biology.
