Odum Library
Purpose:
The purpose of the Ecology Library is to support the instruction, research and service missions of the Odum School of Ecology.
Mission:
The mission of the library is to act both as a resource center and as a repository for Odum School of Ecology publications. The library primarily serves the Odum School of Ecology faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The library accomplishes its mission by:
- Collecting, organizing, and preserving the publications and other resources produced by the faculty, students, and research staff while working at the Odum School of Ecology or one of its affiliate laboratories
- Providing library research and reference assistance to the department
The Ecology Library does not seek to replace or compete with the University of Georgia's libraries. The Ecology Library has a special focus, and it is designed to meet in-house needs.
