Driving from South Atlanta (Airport) to Athens
• I-285 east to I-20
• I-20 east to GA 138 in Conyers, GA (exit 42)
• GA 138 northeast to US 78 in Monroe, GA
• US 78 east to GA 316 east
• Turn right on GA 316 east
• GA 316 east to GA 10 Loop (Athens Perimeter Bypass)
• Exit right on GA 10 Loop South
• Continue on GA 10 Loop for five miles to College Station Road exit
• Exit on College Station Road and turn left.
Driving from North Atlanta to Athens
• I-85 north to 316 east (to Athens)
• GA 316 east to GA 10 Loop (Athens Perimeter Bypass)
• Exit right on GA 10 Loop South
• Continue on GA 10 Loop for five miles to College Station Road exit
• Exit on College Station Road and turn left
Travel to Odum School
• Exit on College Station Road and turn left
• Follow College Station Road to East Campus Road (the first signal-light intersection after the railroad tracks) and turn right.
• Drive north on East Campus Road.
• Turn left at red light onto Carlton Street.
• Turn right at light onto Lumpkin Street.
• Take the first right to park in the hourly parking deck near the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
• Walk from the parking deck to the Odum School.
Parking near the Odum School is extremely limited. If you are a short-term visitor unfamiliar with campus, the deck near the Georgia Center For Continuing Education is usually the best option. The parking deck is shown between section 3G and 3F on the campus parking map, and on the same map the Odum School is shown at section 5G./p>
The Odum School of Ecology
The ecology building is situated on the south side of the University's campus and was designed by architects Morris Hall and Peter Norris to promote team research and service. Facilities inside the building include research laboratories designed for interdisciplinary work; office space for principal investigators of Odum School grants, ecology graduate students, faculty and staff; a systems area to accommodate computer equipment; a 130-seat state-of-the-art master classroom with audio visual equipment, computer and graphics display capabilities; and a seminar/classroom room.
