My interests involve working with multidisciplinary teams to develop ecologically based approaches to land planning. Often the process involves developing information systems to identify sensitive areas and designing alternatives planning scenarios. I work with Federal, State, and Local Government partners to improve information resources for better planning.
Much of my work involves the mapping of these key resources such as natural communities, priority biodiversity areas, areas of water resource protection, wetlands, and cultural sites. This information is brought together via GIS and other visualization technologies and used for collaborative planning efforts.
