The Odum School of Ecology Alumni Board of Members seeks to cultivate a strong alumni community adhering to the premise that together we are more than the sum of our parts. By supporting the mission, programs and culture of the Odum School, the Alumni Board fosters a community of lifelong learners whose ties to one another do not end with their time at the University of Georgia.

Nominations for vacancies are due annually by April 1.

Selection and Commitment

Inaugural Alumni Board members were selected by the volunteer Alumni Board Working Group to begin July 1, 2023. The inaugural Board will meet in person on UGA’s campus in fall 2023 and continue to work together virtually and in person throughout the year. Most of the commitment is virtual. Members are expected to attend quarterly virtual meetings, serve on a committee and stay engaged with alumni affairs. Engagement includes campus events, alumni networking, student programs and philanthropic initiatives.

Alumni Board Working Group

Members of the Alumni Board Working group determined the direction of the Alumni Board by drafting bylaws, selecting inaugural members and nominating the first executive committee. We are grateful for their commitment to the future of our students and alumni that will leave a legacy at the Odum School for years to come.
