More About

As a Senior Scientist at Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, Dr. Rosi conducts research to advance our understanding of how human activities affect freshwater ecosystems. She has conducted ground-breaking field and experimental research on how contaminants of emerging concern such as pharmaceuticals affect aquatic biota and ecological processes. She also investigates biogeochemistry and nutrient cycling in ecosystems ranging from forested to urban watersheds to rivers of the Maasai Mara Reserve, Kenya. Her research seeks to inform sound stewardship of freshwater resources and she currently serves as a member of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Science Advisory Board.
