Athens, GA. – Distinguished Research Professor John M. Drake, the associate dean for academic affairs and director of the UGA Center for the Ecology of Infectious Diseases, has joined Forbes.com as a contributor.

In his first column on July 7, Why Ecologists Study Infectious Diseases And What We Can Learn About Public Health By Studying Nature, he introduced the discipline of infectious disease ecology.

His second column, Four Reasons Why Coronavirus Cases Are Increasing But Deaths Aren’t—Yet, which explored the discrepancy between numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths, was published on July 8.
